What is Rhubarb?
Rhubarb is a Speech and Drama School based in Portishead, Bristol offering weekly drama classes and bespoke acting and theatre-making workshops for children of all ages and abilities.
Led by industry professionals with over ten years experience working within the creative arts sector, our classes are designed to build confidence and encourage creativity and imagination in a fun, supportive environment.
Through acting, storytelling, improvisation and theatre-making, our classes provide a safe, creative space where young people learn to explore their imagination, express themselves and work collaboratively whilst building valuable life skills that last beyond the stage.
Our classes help students build a wide range of creative skills, including:
Theatre Making Skills: storytelling, comedy, script work, improvisation, devising, directing and immersive theatre as well as the use of technology in performance; including green Screen, filming and live cinema.
Physical Performance Skills: character development through posture, movement and effective audience communication.
Speech and Vocal Technique: projection, clarity of speech, diction and reading aloud.
Life skills: creative thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and self-confidence.
Who is Rhubarb?
Charlotte
Rhubarb owner & Drama Facilitator
Charlotte is a Drama Workshop Facilitator, Theatre Maker and LAMDA tutor with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Performance from the University of Worcester and a HND In Acting and Theatre Making from the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts.
She has delivered workshops and theatre education programmes for organisations including;

The Team
Rhubarb couldn't do the work we do without the support of our brilliant Facilitators & Class Assistants. The Rhubarb team are highly experienced in working with children and young people within both the theatre and education industries.
All of the Rhubarb team have enhanced DBS certificates and are trained in our safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
